I feel your pain brother. If you are partial to the 80s and ok with AUDs, then check out this new Charlie Miller release. Sound is good and the big man is jamming.

---EDIT---
After further review...
I poked around at the other offerings for the Saratoga Springs show. My conclusion is that I like this one the best:
http://www.archive.org/details/gd1983-06-18.set2.senn441.silberman.miller.103293.flac16

Why?
I believe it is the only digital recording of the show, early on in the digital era. Silberman only recorded the 2nd set due to difficulties getting his recording equipment into the show. Because he only recorded the second set he was able to tape it without any cuts. All other copies have a cut in them and are usually patched with this source or the previous release of it (id 21741).

In the notes Charlie lists this as the "Best Morning Dew ever!!" We all have our preferences, but this MD does not disappoint.

Indeed! This is a nice upgrade over the previous Senns sources until the SBDs make their appearance.

agree, and Jer's first Scarlet solo just keeps going and going...

fun show, always wondered why there are no sbd's for the whole June 83 tour (?) could it be GD multi-tracked these shows in an effort to appease Arista for the last album they reneged on (Dead Set and Reckoning was accepted by Arista as the 4th of the total of 5 under their contract, the 5th was partially recorded in the studio early 83, then abandoned by the band...)

Nope. Didn't make it up - ended up at Squaw Valley skiing for a week straight from Christmas Eve through New Year's Eve (but did have the boys, Ryan, Drivin N Cryin, Mudcrutch, and others playing in my ears while I hit the slopes). Heard it was a great time.

I hope you've seen that a number have carried on in your absence vis-a-vis your French Kissin Cousin...

Nice to have you back, if we do.

NAH! Here and there. ACC Season has begun, so energies focused elsewhere. Our team is a joy to watch - because it's team ball.

being as I never went to a GD New Year show (only to every post Jerry one).

12/31/2009 was THE BEST post Jerry show - I include P&F, TOO & The Dead, I've ever heard.Period!

Now then, P&F with Trey, The "Love Will See You Thru" Warfield & the one with Billy on drums are right up there. Maybe it was the ahhhh..atmosphere, but live, this NYshow ROCKED!!

Mickey and Phil are fighting over Bobby, who is wearing my daughter's favorite shirt.

Thanks for the cool pic!
